In your opinion, what are some current industry trends that are relevant to this course? GUEST: There are two major trends right now: the integration of artificial intelligence in transportation forecasting and the increasing focus on sustainable transportation solutions. Both topics are covered extensively in the course. HOST: AI and sustainability are definitely hot topics. Now, what are some challenges you've faced or observed in the field or while teaching this subject? GUEST: One challenge is keeping up with the rapid advancements in data analysis tools and techniques. Lastly, where do you see the future of transportation forecasting heading? GUEST: I believe we'll continue to see more emphasis on data-driven decision-making, integrated transportation systems, and the development of autonomous vehicles.
